Zhidangcun, Gaoyuan, Yuanxing, and Jibei: Lean Management Officially Launched in 2023

Lean is a journey with only a beginning and no end. Improvement is not achieved overnight, but gradually. Although higher than flying geese, still less than the blue clouds, the achievements of the past are a new starting point, and continuous effort and improvement can achieve better results.

2022 Improvement Review

On January 5, 2023, Gu Jia Home held the second year-end summary meeting on improving the value stream of core suppliers. After a year of lean improvement, as a new member of the Mount Taishan class for the first time, Changzhou Dengfeng Electric Co., Ltd. submitted a relatively satisfactory answer: production efficiency increased by 15%, raw material inventory turnover rate improved by 47%, production cycle optimized for 2-5 days, and cost saved more than 3.9 million yuan. It won the second prize of the fourth Mount Taishan Class Excellent Lean Practice Enterprise of Gujia Home Furnishing and the second prize of Excellent Enterprise Promotion Director.

2023 Goal Setting

On March 5, 2023, the third core supplier value stream project kickoff meeting of Gu Jia Home was held as scheduled. As a representative of last year's excellent lean improvement enterprise, Mr. Pan delivered a speech and signed the 2023 value stream improvement goal on site, establishing the company's lean improvement direction for this year: improving delivery time, improving on-time delivery rate, planning and relocation of new factory layout, on-site construction of new factory lean benchmark, and consolidating basic management.

Improvement project confirmation

On March 27th, under the guidance of lean mentor Li Zhankai, a one week lean improvement project planning was launched. Based on the overall direction of lean improvement this year, after communication and interviews with the heads of important departments of the company, the improvement goals for this year were refined into 11 project teams, and the members of the lean project office were updated. The 11 project teams are: inventory level design, supplier incoming material improvement, tracking standardization, production and manufacturing cycle locking, capacity expansion, SKU reduction, KPI quantification, reducing key equipment failure rate, optimizing new factory layout and benchmark site construction, warehouse management optimization, and production planning process optimization.

Kickoff meeting

On March 29th, the company held the 2023 Lean Management Kickoff Meeting, reviewing the achievements made in lean improvement over the past year and announcing the improvement goals for the new year. The "Lean Improvement Project Responsibility Letter" was issued on-site, and the project leader representative gave a speech. Representatives from the Gu family, consultant teachers, and the lean general manager gave speeches and raised expectations for improvement this year.
